Vibe Therapy Dive Vibrator

The Vibe Therapy Dive is a slimline insertable vibrator. Vibe Therapy products are classed as middle range luxury sex toys which are made from smooth motors, good quality silicone, and at a reasonable price.

The Dive comes packaged within a white cardboard box with Vibe Therapy printed on. The toy is held in place by a clear plastic tube, this tube can be reused to store your vibrator in. The vibrator is made from pink silicone with a silver plastic ring separating the shaft and battery cap. The battery cap is made from pink plastic with a circular push button on the end. In the cap there is a slightly curve indent in the plastic which is perfect for wrapping a finger or two round. The toy is 7 inches in length with 5 inches of insertable length. The girth of the vibrator varies between 3 inches to just below 4 inches. The vibrator has a slightly bulbous tapered tip; this is slightly flexible compared to the rest of the shaft.  Travelling from the base of the head are two adjacent ridges in the silicone, these are a medium firmness and can be pinched together.  Even though there are two raised ridges there is no actual manufacturing mould line on the silicone. The shaft is straight with a slight wave. At the back of the head of the vibrator there is a small raised ridge. The silicone feels reasonably smooth and only causes mild friction when rubbed against dry skin. The vibrator requires two AAA batteries. Just twist the cap open and pop the batteries in plus side first, push and twist the cap back into place and now you should have a functional vibrator. Make sure the cap is firmly in place as this vibrator is water proof.

The vibrator has seven vibration modes: one escalating, three different vibration intensities, and three pulsation modes. To use the vibrator just press the push button then scan through the settings. The push button lights up red when the vibrator is on. You have to scan through all the vibration functions before you are able to turn the vibrator off. The vibrations are as follow: first vibration fairly mild, second is a moderate vibration, third is reasonably strong, the fourth escalates from the mild to strong setting, the fifth is the moderate vibration with slow pauses, the sixth is the moderate vibration with rapid pauses, and the seventh is two moderate vibrations with quick pauses and then a slightly elongated strong vibration then pause. All the vibrations are relatively quiet compared to vibrators with cheaper motors. Also the vibrations are mostly focused at the tip of the toy but can be felt throughout the shaft.

Inserting the vibrator is fairly easy and due to the size of the shaft very little added lubrication was needed. Even though lubrication wasn’t needed prior to insertion, I found that the ridges running along the shaft pinched my vaginal wall unless I applied copious amounts of lubricant. If you are planning to use lubrication with this toy, remember to only apply water based lubricant. The vibrator was far too straight to hit my g-spot, and I didn’t feel any benefits from the waves. The vibrations are rather strong but I’ve experienced stronger vibrations from other AAA battery powered vibrators. I did however find that the Dive vibrators tip worked well as a clitoral stimulator. The vibrations can be felt perfectly at the tip, and because the head of the toy is slightly flexible I was able to pinpoint the vibrations directly to the desired spot. I’ve tried to use the ridges to massage my clitoris and other external areas such as the labia. Again I found that they caused slightly too much friction and caught skin tissue unless lots of lubricant was used.

Cleaning the toy is use especially as Dive is waterproof. The silicone does seem to attract dust so it’s best to store it in the plastic tube when not in use.

Overall, I didn’t get along with the Vibe Therapy Dive. For me it’s just too narrow and uncomfortable, with weak vibrations. I feel it might work for some with a different anatomy. It’s an option for those looking for a moderately quiet vibrator with a good motor. It’s still an extremely well made toy and it may work for you.  I have had better experiences with other Vibe Therapy products, it’s just this particular one wasn’t right for me.
